They are ripping up my lawn . . .

    ... and I'm thrilled! Some workers showed up today, out of the blue, and started ripping out one side of my lawn. I was relatively alarmed since I was not expecting this. When I spoke with the guys, they said they were fixing drainage issues. I'm not sure how much of my lawn will be ripped up but, I'm relatively happy. I just wished I was notified ahead of time so I could have staked the sprinkler heads (the guys caught it, though).

    OK, my thrill lasted only 4 days. I came home this weekend and saw that the lawn was partially dead, the ground is like mush in several areas such that I almost twisted my ankle, and there are weeds in so many places. I have a sprinkler system and know that the new lawn has been watered. The dead grass is right in the middle of green grass. The mushy stuff is right in the middle of dead or close to dead grass. I'm going to contact Van Metre and see what they'll do. This is ridiculous!

    I believe my wife told me ..they started removing dead grass ( from the previous attempt ) ... So you might have another suprise when you get home ... good luck :)
