Provided is an overview and update on the Tillett’s View land use application (LEGI-2023-0031) that is currently in the public review process. The application will appear at the January 10th Board of Supervisors’ Public Hearing for consideration. The Public Hearing will take place at 6:00 pm at the Loudoun County Government Center (1 Harrison Street SE, Leesburg). Comments can be made over the phone or in person. To sign up to speak at the Public Hearing, view the agenda, or watch the public hearing, visit: Loudoun.gov/Meetings.

This application proposes to rezone approximately 50 acres of vacant land southeast of Waxpool Elementary School and surrounding the area where Waxpool Road, Belmont Ridge Road, and Black Angus Drive meet, near the old Tillett’s Auction Barn. The request is to rezone from rural commercial and R-1 (one residential unit per acre) to a higher density residential zoning to construct up to 110 stacked condo units, 184 townhouse units, and 103 single-family units (397 total units). This application was forwarded to the Board with a unanimous recommendation of denial from the Planning Commission. To read more about this application, visit:
For questions or comments, please reach out to the office of Broad Run District Supervisor, Sylvia Glass, via Loudoun.gov/BroadRun.

Based on the current zoning, am I correct in assuming that if the current proposal falls through, we won't end up with the developers selling out to a company building more data centers?Bad enough that we have those centers going in off of Belmont Ridge Road where Hyde Park was proposed.
