I notice that Broadlands Associates has "adopted" the section of waxpool road near the Ashburn road intersection. There is tons of trash on the side of the road opposite those 2 old houses in that section of woods. Anyone know who's supposed to clean that up? It looks pretty bad!

Do you think owners of those old house would help out ? [8D] I'm sure they love their new neighbors who built around their home ...
driving their fancy cars and pointing at their house as an eye sore ... ;)

Broadlands Associates (not to be confused with the Broadlands Homeowners Association) is now only Van Metre. I wonder if they are even aware of this road section. My guess is that Terrabrook signed up for it and maintained it.

I wonder if there's any way to get the county to send persons who owe community service to come out and pick it up?

Since its a volunteer thing, I think the only thing they can do is send a request that they stop by sometime. The other thing is that they can remove them from the program.

FWIW .. I believe that area is scheduled to be torn up when they start construction of the townhouses there sometime this year.
