When it snowed I noticed some animal prints in the snow and now notice some animal droppings in my yard that don't appear to be dog or cat. The pile of droppings were real small round droppings. Anyone have any idea what type of animal this may be? Also not sure what to do about it, have a dog and don't want her to get diseases from this other animal.

When I had a pet rabbit as a kid, that is what their droppings looked like. Maybe it is just a bunny.

There are LOTS of bunnies around here. We didn't leave enough trees for the foxes, and the hawks visit but don't stay, so.... BUNNIES!

oh my dog loves the rabbit pebbles. yuck. I don't think it will hurt the dogs if they eat it. Just don't let them lick you for a day :)

I was happy to see bunny tracks in the last snow storm. My pet bunnies have brothers in the neighborhood! They are very distinctive tracks, with their two big feet in the back and two front paws one in front of the other. Like this:

Thanks for all the replies! My dog was running after a rabbit yesterday evening so guess that is what made the droppings in the yard. I had been trying to figure what animal had 3 feet since on the snow tracks I saw the 2 front feet must have hit pretty close together.

I've noticed my dog spending alot more time in the backyard in the last month and I thought she was eating grass, guess I was wrong.. yuch!

It could also be deer poops.
My parents live in Beacon Hill and they see that on their backyard all the time
