Wanted Used Bikes

Hi, I'm a sophomore at Briar Woods High School. On April 21st I'm hosting a collection for used bikes at "Spokes Etc. Bicycles" in Ashburn for Bikes for the World.

Bikes for the World is a nonprofit organization based in the Washington, DC area that collects bicycles, parts, and tools and delivers them to community programs in developing countries. The bicycles provide affordable transportation to laborers, teachers, students, farmers, health workers,small business owners, and others.

Although the collection is on April 21st, I thought I'd get an early start and at the same time give you a chance to free up space in your garage.

If you'd like to donate a used bicycle, please PM me and I'll stop by your house and pick it up.

Just a thought: have you approached the respective PTOs at Mill Run or Hill Side?

I know Mill Run has a facebook page...it might be worth sending fb message the admin to see if you can post on their page. Here is the link to Mill Run's page:

Are you just looking for adult size bikes, or kids bikes as well?

 

Good for you! I'd also suggest you post on the Ashburn, VA facebook page. There are a few thousand readers who will see your post!

 

If you have a kid sized bike you're looking to sell, please let ME know! I might have a need.

Susan, I have two bikes that are too small for the boys. They are not in the greatest of shapes so I would not sell them. If you want to see them and think they are worth taking, they are yours. One is in better condition than the other. Let me know if you want to stop by and see them. I also need to get you a check anyway so let me know!
