    Thats because ethanol is Required by govt regulation in Northern VA and the Metro area. In addition, certain tax incentives make blending ethanol into gasoline more profitable for station retailors.

    Yep.

    We are wasting billions of dollars on decreased gas mileage.

    If you think about it, there might be 150 million actual drivers in the US driving 15,000 miles per year, and if every driver is buying $300 more gas than they should be (because of the decreased mileage running ethanol), then that would mean we are collectively paying $45 billion more on gas per year than before ethanol was mandated.

    Corn belongs on the grill, not in my gas tank.
