An act of vandalism occurred on Humbolt Square this morning, in broad daylight. One of our neighbors witnessed a large black luxury car pull down the street, stop, take their (the neighbor's) recycle bin, and dump it on their next door neighbor's yard. A police report has been filed. My wife assisted the neighbor with cleaning up their yard. A partial license plate number was obtained and given to the responding Loudoun County Sheriff's deputy. I do not have the partial to give on here. Suffice it to say, this has shaken up a lot of people in this neighborhood. The neighbor who had the trash dumped on her lawn does not speak much english. Her husband came home and talked with my wife for a while. We are all asking ourselves "Why?" Everyone gets along on this street, so we feel fairly certain this was outsiders. As I said, the authorities were called, and took a report. But if anyone remembers seeing a black luxury sedan in the vicinity of Overland Park this morning please let LCSO know. We want these people caught and brought to justice.
