Is anyone not using this two-part step for exercise and would consider giving it up?

if you are trying to firm up your butt you don't need any equipment. THIS ADVICE IS FOR SOMEONE HEALTHY WITH NO MEDICAL ISSUES- check with a doctor if you have any injuries or problems that a doctore shoul d clear youto exercise for!!!!

get all all fours, don not lock your elbows.lift one leg straight back, flex your foot, and lift your heel to the sky. you will feel the cheeck tighten if you are doing it right. SLOWLY lift til you feel that good squeeze in the glute (butt) muscle, then lower your leg to HIP level- not below, and do 15 repetitions or so, then switch. 3 sets in each side.

this is a great exercise to do during commercials while you are watching TV!

2 things: DON'T arch your back- keep your ab muscles pulled in toward your spine and focus only on the small full leg movement.

Finally- KEEP YOUR FACE PARALLEL with the floor! don't let your head hang down, or tilt you head too far back- you want a nice straight spine thru every rep!

I am a certified fitness trainer and this is a very old but effective toner. You can alos do it with your leg at a 90 degree angle for variety- all other rules above apply- tightened abs, elbos not locked, squeeze that glute muscle!

    I appreciate the feedback.

After power walking I enjoy a FIRM DVD and they use the Fanny Power Lifter. Even though a child's stepstool padded with two pillows on top work slightly I am looking for the real deal.

Has anyone seen them in a store? I am looking for a reduced price, rather than ordering from THE FIRM.

You can look on ebay - I recently got something similar from the Firm directly but there were quite a few of the 'fanny lifters' out on ebay at the time also.
