We have a bathroom that has a water hammer issue. Every time the toliet is flushed, we get a banging noise in the piping from it. What is the normal course of action for this?

    thanks in adavance.

Some info here... essentially caused by the force of water running thru the pipes when the water shuts off, causing pies to vibrate (like your head if you ran quickly into a wall). Can try securing the pipes if you can access them with additional pipe straps. Since our homes here are relatively newer, there should be air chambers installed (to absorb the shock, like a pneumatic tube), if so it may be the air has diffused out of yours and can be fixed by closing off the main water valve and draining the water from your pipes, then refilling to re-establish the air pockets needed to stop the hammer.

The website link above has more detailed info on this.
    Good luck!
