Has anyone encountered water leak issues or possible mold in their homes. I have a Spruce model and for the past 6 months there has been an odor in my kitchen. This weekend we discovered the entrance for the boxes surrounding the power breakers for the air conditioner and main power were not caulked at the top. There may have been water draining to the inside. The scent is stronger during humid and rainy days.

Any suggestions for contractors dealing with mold or how to address this with the builder?

Certainly bring it up with the builder. Especially if you have been in the house for under a year.

Mold is not something to take lightly.

that could potentially be a plumbing issue with the Kitchen sink. It is hard to say without really smelling or seeing the exact layout of the kitchen and AC unit pipes but I have seen an example like this before where the drainage for the pipe in the kitchen was not working perfectly and water would sit and collect a little and create that "smell" and I also think it could be related to a vent issues. These pipes are supposed to vent to the roof as well and could be not working perfectly either.

I would check very closely the drain area in the sink when this happens. Get under the cabinet, and smell all around and also smell near the drail itself, really get in there and try to "find" where the smell may be stronger...

    Just food for thought
