I can't stand the crap sod job around Southern Walk, mainly the M&S and VM townhomes. It looks terrible! Do they really think the dead straw grass is going to grow if they soak it to death? And, what's with using 3 different types of dead or almost dead sod? To top it off, the quality of the job sucks. It's an eye sore and completely unacceptable. Someone is going to break an ankle just walking over it. Is this really how it's going to be or is there something we can do about it?

Have you complained to the Builders ?? The builders are the ones responsible for putting it in.

Yep, we complained! I doubt M&S will do anything about it. It amazes me that they can be proud of that. I'm embarrassed by it.

Once you sign off on the walk through before closing, it's your responsibilty. Thats what they say. I have owned a M%S in the past and they did replace my sod during my 60day or 1 yr warranty. It wasn't the whole yard but a good chunk of it.

My yard sucks too. It's a M&S TH. I'm going to take care of it myself $$$$.

I doubt M&S is 'proud' (or cares less) of the sod quality. As far as they're concerned, if you don't complain they'll assume you've accepted it in its current condition. Try calling them and have it replaced.

I'm not talking about my home. I took care of that myself and it's coming along (slowly but getting there). I'm talking about the common areas. It's terrible! It's bad enough they put down dead grass but there are several inches between the rows and more then one type of grass.
