It is not the HOA that is putting in the lights, it is the developer - Van Metre.
Their plans called for lights at all the major interesections and that's what they are doing in order to work on turning over the streets to VDOT and get their bond money back.
Up the hill on Ridgeway or along Stonehollow you can see what the lights looks like.
Also they have been installing round bases where they put these other lights - sounds like your slab might be some sort of access way to something else.

The note came from the Developer, not the HOA.
The HOA has not denied you any trees on your lot. That was your dealings with the builder. The HOA has nothing to do with it.

Take a peep at Stonewheel/Broadlands Blvd. They've been installed since Spring but still aren't connected, so obviously aren't turned on...

I live in SW - any updates on when the streetlights will be turned on?

I'm assuming from what I've read here that the lights are the responsibility of Van Metre.

Please let me know who I can call about getting these turned on.

    thanks.

Mark Holliday with Van Metre. He sits on both the Broadlands Association and Southern Walk HOA's.

I will ask MArk again about this tomorrow night - he had indicated that they needed to run new electrical service to most of these lights, which has been done for a while.

Mark told us he expects the lights to be working in the next 30 days - hoepfully that timeline holds true

Hmmm ... is this world days, or Van Metre days .. which seem to be 3 to 4 times as long as world days. ;)

    Reply from Mark -

The asphalt patch is suppose to be taken care of tomorrow. I will get a more accurate time frame for the lights. They are working on getting the meters added.

    Mark,
Just out of curiosity - the lights in Southern Walk that were supposed be
on about 30 days from our 2/27 meeting still aren't on - any update?

Also, as I mentioned at the last Board meeting... the blacktop along the
path just off Stonestile where they cut across it to run the wiring is
still not fixed. It currently has sunk about and inch and is definately a
tripping hazzard for anyone walking there.
