Many Europeans are far more advanced then we are when it comes to nudity and alcohol and the police. :devil2: We still live in such a puritan society in the USA. And they have far less alcoholism and violent crime then we do. :devil2:

I pretty much agree. Kids (under the age of 10 or so) probably wouldn't notice or care very much. When we went to Hawaii there was a woman in a gold lame' thong (and she had NO business being in it, believe me) at the pool. T8erman and I were all appalled and frightened, but T8ertot didn't have a clue. We (Americans, including me) are really uptight about this stuff and its probably not healthy. My sister had a friend from Holland in high school who had 4 sisters. On their mantle piece was a framed picture of all 5 girls, the mom, and the dad, frolicking at the beach. All of them were topless. When she said something about it they just laughed at her.

Not really. Some countries have a higher a rate and some have a lower. Europe and the US are about the same for overall percentages.

The perception may be that alcholism is less since they have so few drunk driving related offenses. The reason is that most countries have SERIOUS penalties (long prison terms and/or serious $$$) for drinking and driving.

you are only an alcolholic if you go to meetings, otherwise you are just a drunk! lol (did I already make that joke? it's one of my faves...)

anyway- i agree that kids do NOT care, but if majority rules on the rules of a COMMUNITY POOL, it's time to put a sarong around that thong! lol i know when my son hits puberty- i dont' want him obsessing about the butt he saw at the pool... or do i ? i dunno, he's only 9- maybe it's my HUSBAND i don't want obsessing about the butt he saw at the pool! ha!

then again- more incnetive to get my OWN glutes into thing shape... hmmmm.

thongs aren't for comfort anywway, they are to show off your nice glutes. maybe get a nice butt tan- i dunno.

My teen daughter said she saw a really hairy guy at the pool the other day in a Speedo. She said she was thinking, "Dude, you sooo shouldn't be wearing that." At least the teenagers get a good laugh. You don't have to worry about your kids looking at those people, because they are definitely looking AWAY (and laughing).

In Norway it is so strict - most people will not even drive the morning AFTER being out drinking. Even one drink and they don't drive. The limits are that tight.

Maybe the next HH should be clothing optional at the SW pool? (Apologies in advance to the townhomes that have views of it.)

So how'd the meeting go? I see that some partial mats have been put in the bathroom. Is this a temporary solution?

Yes, the matting is temporary for this season and there will be even more added here soon. Basically they admitted the floor was not done correctly and it will need to be redone. In order to do that I need to either close the pool for 2 days or figure out a way to filter everyone through 1 locker room at a time. Seeing how busy that pool is I do not feel either is a good option. So for now we will use the matting again and then get it fixed after the season is over.
