    If you pay with cash, always ask for a receipt first. Sorry you lost $20 - you are correct! their logic:screwy: wasn't logic. I would have asked for an audit! Send an e-mail to corporate.

    Insane to be that short... when I was a cashier.. anything over $3 off was probation.

    When they were that far off - they couldn't tell anything about your transaction by counting the til except the cashier was either stealing or incompetent.

    Right, and I'll just bet the cashier rang up $60 and NOT $80 - so if the manager reconciled cash to tape he should have been right to the penny not over or short. It doesn't sound like he did this. Get a RECEIPT before you pump.

    The sad and scary thing about all this is having to hand someone $60 OR $80 in order to fill your tank!!!!!

    Precisely. I asked the manager that the cash itself is not balancing and how he was trying to figure out howmuch gave. He was clueless.

    I wouldn't go there again. I would tell my frirnds too. Very unplesant experience as it has never happened to me.
