    All,

My daughter recently attended an amazing cotillion in Middleburg - it was so professionally run and such a positive, wonderful experience, that I asked them if they would be willing to open up a branch in Ashburn.

The focus was not what I had feared (can you say 'uppity'), but was on having fun while learing social etiquette, table etiquette, kindess and respect towards others, and fun dances! Even the boys really got into it!

There is an existing cotillion for older kids around here, but nothing for the 4/5th grades, etc. Personally, I find this to be a crucial time, and this experience really helps with self esteem and self confidence, and helps prepare them for middle school. Having attended with this group for 5th grade, I'd love for her to continue with them in upper grades.

If you or anyone you know might be interested in this, please let me know. I'm just curious to see if there is enough interest out there to take this further. They like to have a local committee providing input.

I wasn't sure if this belonged in the Advertisers thread, so I apologize if it does, although there isn't anything to advertise yet. :)

Both of my kids are involved with the Loudoun Cotillion. You can start as young as 5th grade with Loudoun Cotillion. Their parent meeting is in April at Belmont Country Club if you are interested. Check the newsletter and come to the meeting.
