Does anyone work or know of anyone who works at Cryptek? It's located off of Moran Rd behind AOL. Wanted to ask some questions about possible future employment. Want to know if they do any development using PKI or standards like PKCS#11. Please contact me privately if you have some info. teak@cowpie.acm.vt.edu

    Teak,

You're a Hokie, me too! I see you're in ACM. Are you CS, EE or CpE? I'm CS, graduated in '98.

The only thing I can say to both of you is: Wahoowa! There are a heck of a lot of Tech emblems on vehicles around here. I think that you outnumber the UVa alums, which is a darned shame.

Homer, I graduated back in Dec 94 with a CS degree from Tech. So yes I am a computer geek. Definitely a lot of hokies in Broadlands. Have to admit, Virginia has a lot of great colleges.

I was there in '94, (actually I started in '90). We may have met. How'd you like that Amiga? I still have it somewhere.

One of the best computers I bought. Specs were a lot better than the 286/386 at the time. But what my heart wanted at the time was the NeXT station. But the price tag of $10,000 was a bit too much for a college kid. Sold my Amiga back in 94 to help pay my tuition. I did hang out alot in the CS lab that fall semester in 94 since I sold the amiga. We might have known each other. Lots of CS hokies in the area. I know about 15 from 94-97 graduating class.

I think we should setup a Hokie community in Broadlands :)

Okay does anyone know or work at a company that does encryption or PKI in the area? Looking for future employment in the security industry.

    http://www.ilumin.com/

They use to have a PKI enablement product for email. Today Potomac Tech wire announced 8.5M of raised capital for growth. Portion to be for new hires.

    Good luck
