Ashburn's Reading Rascals

Do you have a 4 year old preschooler who is beginning to play with the sounds in language and realize that letters have the job of making sounds? Do you have a Kindergartener who is learning to read at school, and could benefit from extra, small group instruction?

These young children are at the exciting point of making language out of the letters they see. They are just beginning to realize that they can put their own thoughts into the written word.

I offer a reading development program to nurture children's phonemic awareness, letter recognition and sound correspondence, and introduce early sight words as well as journaling.

Classes are limited to four students, and run for 10 week sessions, including a one-on-one session to review what he or she has learned. If you are interested, please e-mail for more information. amyshow@comcast.net
