It was 6 years ago. He cried a little and then ran away. I hope that he survived, but I'll never know.

    I got me a dog, too!

Billy does a process called claying http://www.autopia-carcare.com/detailingclay.html that smooths out the paint and makes it really receptive to wax. The outside of the car is so smooth that I am sure that we could pick up a couple of MPG's.:huh:

The paint job looks better than new. I know of several car collectors who do this process with NEW CARS, before they even drive them.

claying is good for cars that have been exposed and left 'nekid' for a awhile. On well maintained stuff its much less effective. A good polish is more then enough for most. Claying simply pulls containments caught in the clearcoat out.. it doesn't actually do any polishing or compounding (more intense) which is what you need to remove scratches, blemishes, and swirls.

A good compounding, followed by polish, followed by protection (wax/polymer) will make things look great.

Or yours can look like what mine does when I clean it :)

My middle one just said 'why does your car have a hole in it' hahah

The car hasn't gotten any love last year due to time and then of course water restrictions, etc. Its older now, so it doesn't get the bi-weekly TLC it used to get years ago.

My car freak son says it looks like BMW rims, but the crease on the hood is a bit narrow...he's sticking with BMW 5 Series but trying to figure out if it's an S Class Mercedes...either way, sweet ride in his book!

Trademarks are much more loose then other claims of ownership like patents, copyright, etc. But yes, I was aware.. they also setup www.z.com :)
