You should call the County and inquire about it...Secondly, check out Kelley's Blue Book value and if its definitely agreeing with the county's numbers, then you have it...But if not, the County could be breaking the law and appreciating the asset when it should NOT be doing.

Let us know what you find out!!!!

    Good luck!

Well apparently my Odyssey has gone up in value. Almost $3000.00 dollars over last year. The county uses the NADA guide to asses a vehicle's value. So either the county undervalued my vehicle last year or something I own has finally starting to go up in value. Lord knows my home and stocks haven't done much lately.

I wonder if Toyota's problems lately have helped the value of other used cars?

Agreed. While I'm not a fan of paying increased taxes, if a little increase is what it will take for me to live in an area that I love <have always loved> so be it. Besides, I've been paying the tax for 15+ yrs and it's gone up steadily the whole time. I could always move somewhere else if I had a problem with what I pay here, but I've been to other places that just don't seem quite as nice as LoCo...

I would guess it is Cash For Clunkers that is driving values up. 680,000 cars were removed from supply. That's going to have a big impact.

Agree. And I think there's a slow shift from SUV's to Passenger Vans from families wanting to reduce energy and maintenance costs.
