Looking for a local someone who can do a clay/ceramic imprint of my baby's feet and hands. When my 7 year old was little there was a company called "Mudpies" that everyone used but they appear to be out of business. I don't want to do a home kit thing. Any help appreciated.

We used Mudpies in the past as well for our 7, 5 & 3 year-olds. But the 3 year-old's were maddening to get back - it took close to 6 months. Maybe she got so behind, that's why she closed up shop. But I love them.

A friend long ago had mentioned Pat-a-Cake Prints. This is what I found when I googled them. http://printsandpolkadots.com/

Hope you find something! I treasure all my baby hand/feet prints.

I have used PeekaBoo plates for all 3 of my children and the women who runs it is now in Broadlands. The website is http://peekabooplates.com/
I have been very happy with the plates I have had done through them!

Do those places offer something different than the kits you can buy at craft stores and do it yourself? We have a photo box with a picture and clay imprints that has lasted 7 years. I think it was bought at a store - we did the imprint ourselves.

I have a DIY kit that I would be happy to give you. We ended up with three. Send me a PM if you are interested.

you can always do what my mom did and leave the baby alone in a room for 14 seconds with chocolate pudding and a white wall...

INSTANT permanent hand prints forever attached to the house... lol

I suppose it's in the eye of the beholder. I have all the kids' hands/feet hanging in their rooms and one of all 3 hands (at 1,3&5) in our kitchen. I think they are beautifully done and I'm not sure I could do anything close with a do-you-own kit.

These were Mudpies. I blurred out the kids' names, but you can tell where they would be.

Okay---so I got busy over the holidays and set this aside. But now I'm back on the case!
I sent e-mails to both of the vendors you all helped me with above. I hope one of them is still in business. Both websites don't look like they've been updated lately.

Luftinarr-That's the same Mudpie site I found. Called and send e-mails with no response and it hasn't been updated since 2009.

Hokie--those are the same Mudpies I have for the big Tatertot and I love it. I wish I could get the same exact thing.
