Does anyone know anything on the plans to improve Belmont Ridge Rd. to 4 lanes anytime soon? I know the section through Brambleton is going to be done as that community continues its development, but what about from Brambleton up towards the Greenway and then to Rt 7? Also, as a side note it amazes me how fast people drive on that stretch of the road (especially trucks) throughout the day and more importantly just before and after dusk when the deer come out and can always been seen along the road.

Most likely this topic will be discussed at the Dulles District Town Meeting being held tonight by Steve Snow. It starts at 7:30 at the Ashburn Farm Association building. Corner of Windmill and Ashburn Farm Parkway.

The last developments should be available.

mdr227, I believe that HCA has offered to contribute more than
$1 million to widening Belmont Ridge south of the Greenway.
I also believe that the Brambleton section was widened by the
    developer.

It looks like it could take quite a while before it gets done.

Actually, BRMC is looking at spending several million dollars of additional improvements to Belmont Ridge Rd in order to address some of the concerns of the Planning Commission. This additional money should be enough to widen Belmont Ridge from Broadlands Blvd to Truro Parish.
They have already committed about $650,000 and will widen Belmont Ridge from the Greenway to Broadlands Blvd. as part of their original application.
