I've driven past this restaurant twice recently between 5:30pm and 6:00pm and the parking lot around the restaurant has been virtually deserted. Last night, there was an ambulance and two fire trucks in front of it, none of which had any lights flashing. One of the fire trucks had its ladder up and a U.S. flag was hanging at the top of it.

What gives? Does anyone know what is going on with Bertucci's? Is it closed?

    Thanks in advance,

Haven't eaten there at that location, but I have picked up pizza dough to make pizzas at home. Good dough!

Drove by last night and saw the fire trucks, but it looked like they were eating at Fuddruckers. There was a line out the door at Fudds...

I don't think they're getting a lot of business yet, although I've taken my family there three times now. We actually really like it (for a chain). We have had very good service and the food has been good...not spectacular, but worth it. I was surprised the last time we went it was so easy to get a table at prime time on a Friday, but I wasn't complaining.

We've eaten there twice, first when they opened thought it was just mediocre, and again recently with some friends and we thought it was really good!

I had lunch there yesterday. It was pretty good, especially the spiced oil they give for the bread.

There was a benefit event at Fuddrucker's last night from 4-9 p.m. for the injured Loudoun firefighter who's still in the burn unit in D.C., hence the fire trucks out front. I didn't get a chance to post the info about it, unfortunately, but we went to it.

We ate there Friday night and actually had to wait for a table. The restaurant was full the entire time we were there. Not packed to the hilt, but full. ...And the margherita pizza was very, very good!

Both places are very very good. I used to eat at Potbelly all the time, but now that I'm pregnant - deli meat is a no no. So - Salads for me!

I went for lunch a few days ago and thought the food/service was on par to experiences I've had in the past at the former Tysons and Herndon locations. I see no reason I would not go back.

My visit made me wonder why I didnt order their pizza, which I love. I found the entrees to be mediocre at best...but they have GREAT ROLLS!

The Bertucci's pizza Margherita is the best I've ever had. I would suggest it to anyone.

is that the white pie with ricotta, fresh tomato, (sometimes) spinach and fresh tomato? if so, bith Sal's NY Pizzeria near safeway and Broadlands Pizzeria near US tigers have an AMAZING slice in this style.

if it's NOT the white pie... ignore me! :)

Close. It's not exactly a white pie. It has crushed tomatoes, fresh basil and slices of fresh mozzarella on an extremely thin crust. It's extremely refreshing and not heavy.

if there is no tomato SAUCE on it, then it's the same thing i am talking about. :) I was blown away by how good it was at Broadlands Pizzeria- fresh basil and garlic too... mmmm. I know what i want for dinner!

but i digress- Bertucci's has good pasta!

You're right. There is no sauce. I'll have to try it at Broadlands Pizzeria version. It's my favorite pizza anywhere, but Bertucci's is the best I've had. You're making me hungry.
