Need Advice Best dance classes for 4 year old

Hey ya'll, I searched the forum but no answers- our friends (HE LURKS HERE- BEWARE) are new the the neighborhood and are looking for dance classes for their four year old. TONS of choices 'round here, so who do YOU take your daughters to and recommend?

it depends on what kind of experience you want your kid to have. the fru-fru, dress-up, princess, imagination-running-amok little girl will love baby ballerina in sterling (it is NOT far from here- very close). miss lori (the owner) is FULL of energy and ideas and has a dream team of teachers, some of whom are redskinettes. the facility is a fairyland.
the proper, exact little dancer will love ashburn academy of ballet. katie & elizabeth (the owners) went to school for teaching ballet- they are totally proffesional and so is their program. technique and discipline (and fun) are focuses at this studio in ashburn (near minton's music on red rum drive).

i sent my girls to the one that fit their personality, so we have been to both with much success and happiness at both.

 

If they just want a fun introduction to dance then The Little Gym is a good choice. It's a non-competitive environment offering a combination of ballet, tap, and gymnastics. If the child becomes seriously interested in a particular type of dance, then you could move on to a straight-up dance school.

 

We take our daughter to Creative Dance Center, one street down from the Post Office. So far we really like it, she LOVES it, and the instructor Margaret is wonderful!

 

I agree with all the posts above - all great schools. For her age though, my top two would be Baby Ballerina and Little Gym.

 

Kudos to Creative Dance Center in Ashburn with classes with Margaret, Susan or Vivian for the little ones.

 

Isn't there some place called Kinderdance of Ashburn around here?

Originally from Buffalo, NY, my family and I relocated to Ashburn in 2003. A graduate of Utica College of Syracuse University, I have a Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy and over 10 years experience with pediatric education and rehabilitation. As a child, I was a competitive gymnast and loved to dance! I always knew I wanted to work with children. What I love about Kinderdance® is its focus on the total child.
