Need Advice Best Route to BWI?

My wife and I are leaving somewhere between 4pm and 4:30pm this Thursday to catch a flight out of BWI. Which would be the best route to take?

a.) 267 to 495 to 95N to 195

OR

b.) 15N to 70E to 95S to 195

The flight leaves at 7:20pm and I'm a little concerned about 495 traffic making us late. Any advice is appreciated!

 

Take option A. It won't be too bad. Leave closer to 4 pm though.

 

Ryno, option 'a' is the best route, but if you have a 7:20 flight, you should leave no later than 4. Even then, I'd be nervous. The portion of the inner loop that you are taking starts backing up at 3 these days. Sure, BWI is only supposed to be an hour away, but I'd count on, at minimum, 2 hours to get there.

Doing option 'b' is going to take you longer than taking 495 with traffic.

I would suggest you take option a and start by 3 PM. you never know how the traffic would be. dont take chances. have a safe trip!

 

Thanks for the replies! It looks like we will stick with option a. Unfortunately, the earliest we'd be able to leave is 4pm (stupid work). I'll be sweating bullets the entire time!
