I got an amusing, recorded message on my phone yesterday.

Delegate Dick Black called to remind me that the Waxpool ramp to 28 was now open for my convenience.

He made it sound like he personally planned the route, bought the gas and drove the bulldozer, that created the ramp, for my enjoyment. What a misleading, untrustworthy tactic. Dick Black had as much to do with this project as Michael Moore does with promoting the re-election of George Bush.

Dick continues to take credit for things he has had no responsibility for. Total and utterly galling politics.

He tried to use the same tactics with the Ashburn Library. He was actually handing out brochures at the opening taking personal credit for the Library. A total lie. Irks me to even think about his “library actions”, especially today, the first anniversary of the opening of the Ashburn Library.

Reality is, Dick Black had ZERO influence on the Route 28 project. This effort goes way back and is well documented at:

Citizens need to continue to call him on the carpet when he uses these tactics. In fact, he would serve himself much better by actually telling us what he DOES accomplish in Richmond.

For example, has he gotten any money for Belmont Ridge Road? How about full funding from the State for schools? Both examples of a dismal record of representing our Districts interests.

Pretty animated over a road ramp and a library. If I didn't know you to be such a fair minded citizen, I'd almost think you were taking an underhanded swipe at Del. Black for his other views.

Not sure of your reference. I am noting a direct issue brought up by Dick Black on transportation and my view on it.

What other views are you referring to?

Well said ... he has not brought anything back to Loudoun except platitudes. The BoS has absolutely no power to force developers to do anything, and he has voted against anything that would allow Loudoun to help control its own destiny (let alone density) !!
