Black square thingys on Ridgeway

    What are they? I am presuming something for traffic monitoring of some sort.

    They are on Stone Hollow too. They are traffic counters if I remember correctly.

    I figured as much. Last time I saw traffic speed monitoring thingys they were two strips across the road that would measure how quickly the tires went over them (like on WynRidge). Good to know that it's being monitored!

    I don't know about Ridgeway, but there are several sets of black traffic counting lines deployed on Mooreview Pky. and Winridge in front of Glory Days, etc. By the way they are set - just before each entrance into the shopping center, they are probably getting counts of vehicles entering and leaving the shopping center.

    its to count cars to see if light is needed at the intersection or just to do a 4 way stop

    I just saw this and thought it was appropriate to all of us complaining about speeding on Ridgeway Drive (and other local neighborhood streets):
