The Saul website isn't updated but I am pretty sure there will be a Maggie Moo's ice cream shop. :)

At the meeting last night, Staci read a list she had gotten from Cliff that he had gotten from Saul. :) The ones I remember are:
Maggie Moo's, a kid place like Discovery Zone, a pizzeria, and an aerobics studio/juice bar. They expect all the establishments to be open by springtime.

The two restaurant pads are the Original Steakhouse (as previously announced - due to open in November) and the Bonefish Grill.

The list I got from Saul was:
    Original Steakhouse
    Bonefish Grill
An independent restaurant from someone in Leesburg
    Maggie Moo's ice cream
    Bravo Pizzaria
    Wireless store
    Jewelry store
    Curiosity Zone
    Tanning salon
Aerobic Studeio/ Juice Bar (not confirmed)

Phase 3 will probably begin next year.

The Original Steakhouse is not going on one of the pad sites. It is in the building already constructed right next to the Safeway Gas. I snuck a peek in there the other day.

Personally, I'd invite another Chinese carry-out place. The existing ones in this area stink! I can't believe there's not a decent place to pick up some kung pao or moo-shoo.

What we really need is a nice little shoe repair place.

Why? They're all the same with horrible health department ratings. And most of the food is horrible for you.

Wick is right about all the chinese places in the area... can't find anywhere decent enough to eat,, so far, the best chinese place is the "hong kong" in the shopping center where the shoppers warehouse is..

It's amazing how many pizza/Italian restaurants one are can support. We have Manahattan Pizza, the Italian place in Ash Village, the one behind the gas station in the small shopping center, San Vitos, Dominoes, Pizza Hut and Papa John's and now another one. Same thing with cellular stores. It would be nice to have something different in a community shopping center like a Chicken Out, sporting goods store (smaller kind, not the big chain types), computer store, radio shack, etc. so we can get those needed items (even if at a bit of a premium) without having to go 20 minutes or more to a big chain store.

Chicken Out Rotisserie would be a great addition. If not at the Broadlands Center, then at the new commercial area Van Metre is building off Demott near the proposed supermarket.

No one in their right mind would open a local hardware store like that when you have two home depots and a lowes within 5 minutes of it in a suburb setting. They would never survive.
