I have a question. I have lived in the Broadlands since 2000. Since my son turned 3 (2003), I have taken him to Bull Frog Pond to teach him how to fish. Learn how to put worms on hooks, what it felt like to have a fish pull on the line, how to hold a fish, .. you get my point. This past week, I took my youngest son there just for an adventure, he is now approaching 3, and what do I find, but a sign that says "no fishing". I must say I was really looking forward to taking both my young sons to their favorite place to fish. It is quiet, contained, and close to home.

Now for the question. What is the purpose of the no fishing sign. On many occations over the last 2+ years I have been there while others have been teaching their young children to fish too. I have never seen anyone try to keep any fish from the pond, so what is the purpose of not being able to fish there. To me, it really makes no sense at all.

    gator-
This is news to the HOA. We do not have a no fishing policy at Bull Frog pond. Where is the sign?

Right at the entrance to the doc / pier. It says "no fishing, no swimming, no boating"

Hmmm ... it may have been put up by our pond maintenance company. Cliff, will you check with Wes, or should I ??

Bottom line is that fishing is allowed at the pond regardless of what the sign might say.

Ignore the "no fishing" part of the sign. The "no swimming" and "no boating" still apply.
We will get the sign changed eventually to reflect this. Fishing at the pond is allowed.
