Cheap Gas update

Filled up at 7-11 in Sterling this morning (Sat 5-22), $1.97 a gallon!

Today (Tuesday, 5/25) gas at Costco was $1.919 for regular and $2.059 for premium.

 

I filled up in Manassas yesterday on the way home from a trip - $1.92 for regular at the Exxon on Liberia/Signal Hill. I know it's a hike from here but if you happen to be out that way it's worth it.

 

Yeah, Costco is always mobbed, very very long lines, like they are giving away gold bars with the gas. I have been going to the 7-11 across the street. It is only slightly higher and never a line, no waiting, ever.

 

I bought gas at the Sheetz in Leesburg on Sunday. $1.999 for regular.

 

Bought gas this weekend at Sheetz, intersection of 15 and 17 for $1.85.

 

The best time to get gas at the Costco is in the mornings--no lines. Luckily, I can hop onto Rte 7 going towards Tysons Corner to get to work in the mornings, so I can easily swing by the Costco before work to fill up.

 

Yep, Sheetz at 15/17. I like that place. That is my "pit stop/gas stop" on the way to William and Mary (Williamsburg). There is another place about 1/2 mile closer on 15 but the gas station is a dump and their bathroom is gross... their gas is sometimes a few pennies cheaper.

 

Citgo in Sterling (across from Costco) is $1.92 for regular.
