Does anyone know how often the grassy areas are sprayed with chemicals? Especially in the Overland Park neighborhood where I live. Is there a way that I could find out? Every so often we see signs staked into the ground in various locations that they have sprayed and to keep children/pets off the grass for a certain number of days. But, these signs are teeny tiny and few and far between. It's really unknown when they've actually sprayed and how long those signs have been there. We have many children and pets in our neighborhood and it would be good to know when the grass has been sprayed. We have a very sick dog right now of unknown causes. The thought had crossed my mind about the chemical spray. Also, are residents' yards sprayed as well? Or just the common areas?

Newf (i'm guessing the dog is a newfie)...our german shorthaired pointer has also been sick and it was attributed to organic fertilizer that we put down. she ate a bunch because of course it smelled disgusting and got nickel poisoning (nickel is organic). so make sure you check out if your dog has gotten into any organic gardening supplies too in addition to whatever the landcapers use on the lawn.
    best of luck, rachel.

It seems like they are spraying every day now. Anyone know what they are spraying? Yes, I realize I replied to my own post [:p]

Some of what they are spraying is water to keep the common areas green. As usual, I'd check with Wes to see what they are putting down.
