Does anybody know the progress of the Columbia hospital plan in Broadlands? Is it a definite no-go?

THe HCA hospital will be built fairly near to the Gum Spring Rd/Rt 50 light. If you take a left onto Rt 50. there is a sign for it about 1/2 mile down on the right side of the road. If you see Greenworks on the left or Meadows Farms on your right you've gone too far.

    Brassy-
That's a different hospital proposal. Both HCA and Inova are proposing hospitals on Rte 50, less than a mile from each other.

The Broadlands Regional Medical Center is still tied up in court.
Inova is suing the state for issuing a COPN to HCA, and HCA is suing the county for denying the special exception.
The property is still owned by HCA.

Definately still alive, and definately still planned for the corner of the Greenway and Belmont Ridge Road.

Oy Cliff, thanks for putting it into the right place for me. I haven't been paying much attention to that lately, rather I'm watching the building all round us squeeze Broadlands and the trees like a vise. Probably won't be here anymore by the time that gets built...
