Does anyone know which Broadlands playgrounds have baby swings? Also, are there any tot lots that have smaller equipment for toddlers? I've driven by a couple that all seem to be for older kids.

There are also things along some of the trails.. not accessible from the road/car... like the ones along the stream that heads N-S through the neighborhood.

I don't recall if there were baby swings, but I'm pretty sure there is.

and for non-school hours, Mill Run has two play areas, one that is geared toward the 2 to 5 year old range. My little guy has fun there all the time and this is also where kite flying has become a great activity too.

The play area by the Summerbrooke pool (off DeMott) had baby swings last year and also has some younger aged toys. Also Trailside park by the W&OD trail on Claiborne had toddler stuff too.

I've asked Cliff about baby swings near the Nature Center or SW pool. He said Van Metre was looking at adding some amenities, and he'd mention it. Not sure if it will ever happen, though....

I did mention it and suggested they add them into the new tot lot that will be built in the new section they're building in SouthernWalk.

If I remember right, the HOA can suggest, but the developer will put the Tot Lot where the original proffers say it should be.

As far as HOA meeting dates, they're always posted in the current Broadlands newsletter available here: http://www.broadlandshoa.org/newsletter/newsletter.htm

I saw Roy with Van Metre the other day and said, "Baby swings."

He didn't quite get it at first, but I explained more to him. Hopefully they'll seriously consider it as they install more tot lots (or add to our existing ones - Southern Walk Pool or Nature Center, hint hint).
