    Comprehensive Sign Plan

Basically it sounds like the Comprehensive Sign Package proposes a change to the permitted number, location, size and illumination of sign for the new strip mall.

Does anyone have more details on this? Exactly what are the proposing?

    Thanks!

Van Metre is proposing new signage around the commercial areas and Hillside Park. The HOA has asked for, but not yet received any information on what the new sign proposal is.

    Hi Cliff.

Will you post here if you get some more detailed information about it prior to the hearing on Feb 26th? I think it's unfair that they send this letter, but no details.

    Thanks!

unbelievable... this kind of approach is laughable and leaning toward underhanded. If I was you (the ones who got these letters) I would demand more information. How are you supposed to endorse this without details? And what if you do not agree, is this a dead issue? How many homes have to agree? There seem to be many questions here and why did this not go through the board as well??? Or did it? why would the Board not make this an "official" issue?

The HOA board can request the information but the developer is under no requirements to give them anything. The only people who really have any imput into this is the commericial association of which there are ZERO homeowner members. When I was on the board we pushed to get at least 1 resident member to be part of it but Van Meter refused. So to answer your question this did not go through the board (ie Cliff's response that the info was requested and never recieved). Additionally, since Van Meter still has a majority on the HOA board and complete control of the Commercial association the board can never make it an official issue unless Van Meter wants it to be.
With the way Van Meter is pulling strings in this community from Openband to still controlling the HOA I am hoping that residents will finally get PO'd and show up at the board meetings to start putting the pressure on Van Meter. For the 5 years I was on the board the 3 to 4 resident members would try to do this but until they get the angry mob demanding action nothing will ever change and we the residents will not have any official control over our own HOA.

    Staci
