Rep. Frank Wolf (R-10th) will kick off his 2008 re-election campaign at his biennial "Birthday Party" celebration on January 30 at the Washington Dulles Airport Hilton. The event is from 6-8 p.m . Tickets are $25 each. To purchase tickets, contact Linda Douglas with the Wolf for Congress Committee at (703) 620-4115 or the Wolf for Congress campaign headquarters at (703) 817- 9691.

Wolf, the most senior of Virginia's 11 members of Congress, has been involved in almost every major transportation initiative in northern Virginia over the last 25 years and is widely credited as the force behind the establishment of the anti-gang task forces operating in the region.

He also has been a leader in fighting the construction of huge high-voltage power lines across much of northern Virginia, openly criticizing Dominion Power's plans since they were announced. In addition, Wolf has pushed to ensure that America remains the world's leader in science and innovation, working to increase nation's investment in science education, technology and innovation over the next decade, and often praised for his record on human rights.

Wolf defeated his 2006 opponent by 16 points.
