Contractor for design/installation of wet bar

Anyone have any luck with the "big box" stores like Home Depot or Lowes? We'd like to put a wet bar in our media room. I don't have a creative bone in my body so I could really use some help. Thanks!

 

do you already have the water line done? Is there water easily accessible near where you want to do this? You need to make sure there is a water source/pipe there or this could be hard and costly to do if a plummer has to run a a new line.

I have seen 2 personal cases where Home Depot really messed up a job like this and could not get the cabinet and counter measured and ordered correctly. But again, I think you should be ok if you are just going for a pre-fab product.

 

Luckily we had a rough-in for a sink put in when we got the basement finished. I'll probably talk to the design folks at HD or Lowes this weekend and see what they have to say. Thanks for the input!

 

Home depot has some prefab stuff I used to build my back bar....cabinets and pre cut counter tops; my bar was oak, so it worked out perfectly when I built it...you can head to Bars by Bud or Atlantic Bars and Spas for ideas, or for a pre-done one......
