A friend and I have started getting back into D&D with the 4th edition rules, and are looking to expand our Thursday night games. Right now we are running a dwarven campaign, but are willing to rebuild the campaign to accommodate others.

We meet bi-weekly, Thursday nights 8-?.

    PM if your interested.

What are the differences between 3.5 and 4th edition rules?

(did not know there was a 4th edition out) I must have been :indiff2:

Basically 4th edition simplifies all of the stat and combat rolls. Brings thing more in line with 2nd edition in my opinion.

And for you viewing pleasure http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j_ekugPKqFw&feature=related

I almost peed my pants... I almost forgot about that video! Too funny. Ok, so lets see, the last time I played D&D was back in 1985. Has much changed?

    Ah these kids today. :)

Back in the '70's we had it tough. There was only one class and one level.. but we were thankful.

I remember attacking a dungeon up hill, both ways... in the snow...with no shoes! But did we complain.... of course we did! :notfunny:

You know why combat in D&D is measured in rounds? That's because back in the good days each party only had one sword and you had to hand it off to your team mates during combat....but we were thankful we even had a sword. Most of the time we only had a pointed stick and sometimes it did not even have a point.

Bah, you kids have it so easy these days.

I'd be down for some playing. I've been a longtime roleplayer/fantasy/sci-fi geek but have yet to ever get down with some tabletop. My main source of RP is MUDs and has been for about 12-13 years.

Anyway, it'd take some teaching but sounds like a good time.
