Does anyone know of any good daycares in the Broadlands/Ashburn area ? I'm currently on the waiting list for Open Arms in the Broadlands but I don't know if I can wait much longer to transfer my child out of his current situation. Thanks !

Winwood is great, but I know there is a waiting list on some of the classrooms. Unless they have drastically improved things, I would not use the Children's World that is next to Open Arms. See this thread from last year: http://hoa.broadlands.org/forum34/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=256

I really like Ashburn Children's Center (www.childsplayinc.com). It's in the Village however so a bit out of the way but they have great cirriculum and have been quick to address any issues I may have had. They only have care for kids 18months an older though. Kindof call themselves a preschool instead of daycare but it's all the same. They're also a private kindergarten through 3rd grade. I also found them to be in the lower range of all the others I looked into. There was a wait before I put my daughter in but it went pretty fast.

    Good luck

Thanks, JenTimC, I'll have to look into that as well. There have been drastic changes at CWLC (for the better) but some issues still haven't been addressed.

My son is currently in home care, which we prefer over chain style daycares. We registered him for preschool in the 3-day program at Golden Pond (behind the Jiffy Lube/Food Lion shopping center). He will start in the fall when he turns 3. They do have a 2 year-old program as well, but are currently phasing out their infant care to focus more on preschool.

My son has been in Open Arms since the fall and we are very pleased. I have another friend whose children have been there since it opened in 1999.

I was wondering if anyone can tell me about the preschool groups at Christian Fellowship School? I'm thinking of enrolling a couple of 2 year old boys...Any input would be greatly appreciated. I need to find slots for them by the end of June in the Ashburn area; I'd love some feedback on CFS preschool regarding curriculum, ratios, activities, rules, discipline, etc.

I don't know anything about Mulberry. My son has been at Minnieland (across from Broad Run High) for 2 yrs now. He is so happy and truly learns something new everyday. We are very happy w/ this daycare.
