Another upcoming public meeting about Dulles expansion:

FAA TO HOLD PUBLIC HEARINGS ON DRAFT ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT STATEMENT
FOR PROPOSED NEW RUNWAYS AT WASHINGTON DULLES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

    Dear Interested Citizen,

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) will hold two combined open houses and public hearings on the FAA’s Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) that addresses two new runways and related improvements at Washington Dulles International Airport. The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority, the airport operator, has proposed an additional north-south runway, a new east-west runway, and parallel and connector taxiways. The authority’s plan also calls for development of a third midfield concourse and navigational aids. Two alternatives to the proposed action and a no-build (or no-action) alternative are evaluated in the Draft EIS.

    Public Information Workshops/Public Hearings Schedule

Two identical meetings will be held in the study area. Please join us to learn more about the study’s findings and recommendations and to comment on the Draft Environmental Impact Statement.
