Need Help! Emergency Movers Needed!

So, movers were scheduled to come and move yesterday (Saturday the 11th) and they didn't show up (grrrrrr). I am in desperate need of a moving company that can come ASAP. Most of the small stuff was transferred to the new place only about a mile away, so it's really just the big stuff that needs to go. If you know anyone, anything - it would be greatly appreciated.

did you try in craigslist? did you try 'two guys and a truck'?

 

Do you need just human labor, or the transportation as well? Not sure if this applies to your situation, but in any case..

Assuming it is a local move, you might have better luck if you can arrange for the transport (i.e. rent and drive the truck), and just get help with moving your stuff out of and in to the respective locations.

Call Minero Movers (cant find their ph#, but google should do the trick) - they'll supply either a 2 or 3 man crew on an hourly rate, but you are responsible for arranging transport. They will help load, and unload. Worked out well for us.
