Wondering if any neighbors have had a Level 2 EV Charger installed in their garage and are willing to share info on installer, equipment, and cost. Are you happy with it? Did you get WiFi enabled? Which charger did you use (Chargepoint, GrizzlE, SolarEdge, Tesla, other)?

    Any info is appreciated.

And, just confirmed with Loudoun County:

You can park in the Ashburn Metro garage (South parking garage) and use a Chargepoint charger for free. You’ll pay the WMATA $4.95 parking fee on exit.
Loudoun County pays for the electricity. You would normally pay a $2.09 surcharge to Loudoun County when charging, but that fee hasn’t been implemented yet.
So, if you want to go downtown for the day, or maybe movie and a meal at Loudoun Station, you could score quite a bit of EV charge for less than $5.

United electric installed my Tesla charger in my garage. They did a great job and even repaired some of the drywall installation damage done from my solar panel installation a week prior.
Keep in mind that an installer may have to cut into your drywall and ceiling depending on where your electrical panel is located. My cost was $1000 for the installation and $500 for the charger. It’s not Wifi my car controls everything in regards to charging.

I would recommend getting the longest charging cord you can it will increase your options in how you park your car in the garage and if you can use multiple garage spaces versus just one.
