February Activities at the Nature Center

    Discovery Hunt (ages 3-5)
    Wednesday, February 28th 10:00 – 11:00
In this fun program we will use our senses to discover nature all around us. We will learn about our five senses and use sound, sight, smell, and touch to explore the natural world. We will also look for colors, shapes and numbers in the world around us. This will be indoor or outdoor depending on the weather.

Valentine Crafts (all ages) Free Program
    Sunday, February 11th 3:00-5:00
Come to the Nature Center between 3:00 and 5:00 to work on a nature-themed Valentine craft to give to your parents, friend or special valentine. We will have a variety of crafts for different ages and each craft will take between 15 and 30 minutes to complete.

    Survival (ages 6-9)
    Monday, February 19th 4:00-5:00
From thorns and tendrils to teeth and talons, plants and animals are equipped with an amazing array of structures and behaviors to help them stay alive. We’ll start by identifying some survival adaptations then search outdoors for signs of survival. Then we will look at some of Broadlands animal residents and their own unique adaptations.

All programs are $5.00 and will be held at the Nature Center unless otherwise stated. Please call or stop by the Nature Center to Register. A minimum number of registrations must be made or the program will be cancelled.
