WE used Armor Fence (as did the people next door).... and found their price to be the lowest and quality to be "pretty good".....all you really need for a fence.... they know what they are doing

    Hello,
Does anyone have any updates on fence builders? I'm getting estimates from Carter Fence and Armor Fence this week.

    Thank you!

We used Builders and have been happy. Maybe we got lucky but we haven't seen much warping of wood like many other fences I've seen. Price? Jeepers... don't recall exactly but I want to say $3,000 or so for our .20/acre lot.

What about fence upkeep? Our Carter fence is about 2 yrs old now and needs a good paint job (stain) I guess. Is there anything else we should do to help make it last?

Powerwash, than paint or stain is about all you can do.

Powerwashing requires more than 3 gallons of water! :D

One of our neighbors just got an arched (convex) picket fence. We plan to get a fence and like that style. We've also seen it in other yards in Southern Walk. However, I don't see it as an approved fence. I've checked online and the packet I received when I bought my house. Only straight or concave per the design guidelines. Have the guidelines changed?

just want to let ya'll know Armor did our fence and did a FANTASTIC job. showed up exactly on time, the fence looks excellent, they left no mess whatsoever, and they finished the job in one day. we got a good vibe from K.C.- he's good people and an honest businessman. highly recommend you check them out- AND- their price was HALF what Long Fence quoted!

I hope not. IMO the flat and concave tops look much better.

Different strokes for different folks. The convex or arch style is now approved by the HOA and I like it much better. Plus it is taller (but not over 4') than the concave style. This is nice when you have a big dog like us.

By the way, Armor did our fence and I couldn't be happier. Their estimate was by far the best price. I'd would have no problem recommending Armor fence.
