There is a NEW wood-fired pizzeria in Leesburg called Fireworks. Fireworks is owned by the Tuskie's restaurant group. We tried Fireworks today and enjoyed the pizza. The kids' menu is good and price points are fair priced. The kids' portions are small portions for kids not adult sized portions masquerading as kids' meals.

The kids got a homemade warmed chocolate chip cookie with ice cream on top that was YUMMO! The wood-fired pizza was good and service was good. The pizza restaurant is located next to Tuskie's at the remodeled train station. The restaurant has wonderful pictures of the W & O Railroad for all of you railroad buffs. Pizza is good--personally we still prefer Emilio's in Sterling.

    Good eats--

Foodie, did Bruce Brownell include a salvaged railroad station in the renovation when he developed that center? I thought it was just the mill--hence the name "Tuscarora Mill".

    Re: Fireworks (New Tuskie's Restaurant)

    Barbara and others--

I believe that Tuskie's restaurant group had the station brought to the Mill when the restaurants were developed and renovated. I am not sure though about that history connection. Great food anyway. Firebirds is located where the quilt store used to have their store.

    Give it a try--

    Merry Christmas--

Merry Christmas to you too, foodie! All I knew was that Bruce Brownell had salvaged and relocated several historic buildings, the largest of which was the mill. He had several projects in Loudoun, and was known for beautiful and innovative re-use of structures. Sounds like Lee's kind of developer!
