I need to replace the foyer chandelier and unfortunately I don't have a 16'-20' step ladder. Would appreciate any recommendations for a contractor. Thanks.

Ashburn Electric or Bane Electrical Service llc! They are the Best in the area! Both are Master Electricians. They both have Ad's in the News letter.

A small suggestion: wire the new light with a quick connect electric connection (at the light). Then if you ever want to change the light, you don't need to get back into the junction box in the ceiling. (Provided you reuse the same drop chain)

Thanks for the suggestion, Dawne. Unfortunately/fortunately I will be replacing the entire 'builder quality' fake polished brass fixture to include the chain with a Kichler fixture which utilizes a rod type drop and don't plan to replace it any time in the near future after the install. The only reason I need a contractor for the foyer replacement is the height of the junction box in relation to the floor. It's the only junction box that I haven't been able to reach since I don't have a 15' - 18' step ladder.

Anyone else have a recommendation for a contractor for this install?

:2thumbs: for Craig at Ashburn Electric. His rates are more reasonable than other electricians in the area, relatively speaking.

If the only thing keeping you from doing it yourself is the ladder issue- rent one. That is what I did. Once you get the right ladder, it is an easy replacement/install. Rental joint right over on Old Ox Road.
