I download an .mdb file from my own website all the time. There must have been a change in how Microsoft programs handle security issues, because suddenly Access refused to open these files stating that they were from an untrusted source. I was able to circumvent this for a while by copying the file to my c: drive instead of to my shared server. Now that won't work either. I'm sure there's a way to tell my computer to trust my own *$%%$*$(* website as a source. Or better yet, to just trust me that if I downloaded a file, I'd like to just open it without a hassle from my computer. Does anyone know about this stuff? Thanks for any advice!

try adding your website's address to the trusted sites in Internet options. You can get there from the control panel or tools menu in IE. Security tab, select trusted zone, and make sure your website's address is in that list of sites. You can also look at the security settings for the zone.
