I live in the M&S townhouses near Safeway. The grass on the other side of our sidewalk near the road. I am not sure if it is considered common ground or not. Evidently, someones dog likes to go to the bathroom right there and it looks like straw. It is not a small spot that can easily be replaced it would require sodding the whole strip. Is that something we can do? If not, how do we go about getting it fixed?

    Thanks!

FWIW ... in SFH, even though the land from the sidewalk to the street is VDOT easement, we have to maintain it. We had the same type of problem, and just ripped out the grass and installed a bunch of mulch and ground cover. No more brown spots, however, the mulch washes out in the rain. :(

I would say that if you want to patch that area, press, er patch on !!
