Greenway Cameras

Does anyone know the model or camera system the Greenway uses?
I have a summons for a ticket I have been fighting with them. I think there camera system is faulty and I am building a case for court.

Is this a speed violation, or a toll violation? If it is a toll violation, then either pull your smarttag number as evidence, or if you paid cash argue how did you get past the gate. If it is a speed camera, then there is not that can be done about that.

 

Toll Violation.
I need to know the system to research for any history of issues or problems it may have.

 

Have you tried asking the Greenway management?
If you are fighting it in court I would imagine they are obligated to provide that information if asked. Since their case is based upon their automated toll enforcement system, you have the right as a defendant to that information.

 

So if it was a toll violation who sent you the citation? Smart Tag? I'm trying to understand the situation.

This brings up a good question... I have a been in some cases where I would go through the toll with my speed pass in a speed pass lane and person in front of me would get dinged, I would be at the tail end of the dinging, and just as I am clearing the booth I can see from the corner of my eye that the light just turned green(for me)? so is the would be camera taking pic of my lic plate? how is the timing setup on these so called cameras,

and another question/point; how do you prove that you paid the toll (cash) and it didnt register?

for example, the light stayed red, but u paid and passed through and got dinged?

I wonder if VDOT has something documented on how the camera system works.
