I am looking for a good handyman. Has anyone had any window/ door caulking or rotten trim wood replacement? We got an estimate from one company that blew me away. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

I can tell you not to use JC Streets. He is cheap but takes forever. He's been working on our basement for almost 7 months and still isn't finished.

    Update if anyone is interested:

Had a few people out for estimates, was about to go with Belmont Home Services when we realized that the "rotten wood" was actually insect damage [xx(]. Had to get the pest inspector out and are in the process of determining how extensive the damage is. We intend to use Belmont when we finally figure out how much work we'll need. I'll post another update upon completion.

Almost 15 years. The pest inspector told us the damage was the work of the powderpost beetle (so named because it turns the wood into a powder-isn't that creative). He said that generally those insects are in the tree when it is cut down to be turned into planks. And it takes them YEARS to destroy a piece of wood-which is why we only just noticed. He said that they don't normally go wood to wood, like termites do. So there is little chance that they will continue to contaminate. In fact, the inspector thinks the beetles are long gone. We're still in the process of finding the extent of the damage... We think it will be limited to our trim boards.
