Happy Thanksgiving Traveling! Oy vey...

So I just got off Delta flight 1926 from Atlanta to Kansas City. Everyone's bags were taking FOREVER to get off the plane so they told us to just go get dinner or something and come back (oh, Kansas City, I've missed you).

Then I got back and found out that the airport personnel were unable to open the baggage compartment of the plane.

So they are now CUTTING A HOLE in the plane to get the bags out and will have them delivered...at some point...they did not specify when. They are totally overwhelmed because it is a huge flight and even contained bags from other flights. What a mess. The baggage delivery company apparently just isn't equipped to deal with such a volume of bags.

There was a news truck at the airport but I haven't seen anything on the news about it. Might have just been a generic "Thanksgiving Travel" segment.

WTF! Remember to pack a change of clothes in your carryon...
