My soon-to-be 4-year-old daughter's wish is to have a "Princess Party" for her birthday in December. I would love to have a "Princess" come to her party to lead her and her friends in games, etc. Would anyone have any idea where I can find a princess? Has anyone hired one for a child's birthday party that they would recommend or know of a business I can contact to hire one? Thanks for your help! I'm getting desperate!

Try Craig's List- www.craigslist.com Click on Washington Dc for your area and search or post from there.
If you provide a costume and it is on a good day for me- I'll do it for you- I am a direct descendant of Pocahontas- that makes me royalty, right? ;)

There is a service that has lots of costumed characters, Kids' Parties Inc. - www.kidspartiesdc.com / 703-802-3385. Friends of ours booked through them twice with great results. First was a wizard who did a great magic show, and the other was Ariel, who looked a lot like the "real" Ariel and did magic tricks, games, and songs. Good luck!

    Ooops, the link didn't work.

    www.washingtonparent.com

Click on "guides" on the left hand side, and then look under Party Guide.

We've used Kids Parties a few times and they were all great and extremely professional (although our theme was boy-oriented). I'd also highly suggest www.catrionascastle.com. We had them for a pirate/castle theme at a 4th birthday party, and I know they do princess things as well. A fairy princess organized the children for an hour and they all had a wonderful time. BTW, both were written up on the Washington Parent site, which is how I found them to begin with (great resource!).
